Bentonville, Arkansas – Wal-Mart Corporation today announced that they are preparing to sell sex toys in select stores around the country. The mammoth retailer spent a full year on customer research and reached the conclusion that in select rural markets, where it’s stores are most popular, there is definitely a pent-up demand for sex toys among women.
Starting with a rural Iowa location, Wal-Mart plans a pilot operation for this new sales effort over the summer. The new store-within-the-store, referred to as the “Home Pleasure” department, will feature vibrators and dildoes at reduced prices. The store reportedly will offer the wildly popular Martha Stewart “Prison” line of vibrators in addition to its regular offerings.
According to Wal-Mart spokesman Edward Kennedy, “While we expect some risk in this venture, our research indicates that women in rural parts of the country have largely unfulfilled desires and needs for these items”. Kennedy additionally pointed to recent studies in urban markets where internet access is affordable and common. There a wide variety of sex toys are commonly purchased by married women..just check out www.cirillas.com/butt-plugs/ for their variety!
In rural parts of the country where Wal-Mart stores are sometimes the only retail business around, internet access can also be very limited, so the selling of sex toys appears to be a natural extension of Wal-Mart’s personal products offerings. A spokesman from https://pluglust.com in Kennedy told Glossy News that the female customers that they surveyed had privately indicated that they “most desired sex toys in the summer time, when their husbands worked the farms from dusk to dawn, seven days a week.”
Wal-Mart’s Kennedy also revealed the retailer’s marketing plans to locate the “Home Pleasure” departments in the rear of the store near the guns and ammo department. While the men are checking out the latest in Smith and Wessons, their wives can shop discreetly and with confidence for their own little helpers.
Wal-Mart sees an opportunity to demystify these types of items and even envisions these locations having private, women-only parties as a means to attract new and discerning customers into their stores. When asked if they expected any backlash from their conservative customers, a Wal-Mart executive who wished to remain anonymous, told Glossy News that “We are already the volume leader in condoms and birth control pills in our pharmacies. So we feel that today’s Wal-Mart woman will readily welcome these additions.”
Jes@s, most products sold in Walmart are made in China. I can’t even imagine — mostly lowly-educated and lowly-paid — innocent Chinese men and women making those things.
These innocent workers will be like: “what the hell is this?? that we are making all day — from dawn to dask — and sending to America?????”
“Since it’s so popular in America, and America’s culture (and its Hollywood) is consider so stylish and fashionable in the world, I might just get one for my little daughter to please her for the Chinese New Years…”
WalMart cannot stnd it if there is a company out there that might sale something they do not. I for one will NOT shop at WalMart for anything in their “Home Pleasure” department. What if someone buys an item takes it home, uses it and is NOT happy with the product and they take it back? Would you want to purchase a pre-use vibe??? You know they will just put it back on the shelf unless it is defective.
Lots of toys for girls and boys!
DVD instruction manuals too, I hope.
That will be a great business for walmart. What are the different sex toys materials?
Randolf… I have observed that in must rural areas the kids have access to firearms and ammunition at home and do not have a need to play with them at the local “Big Box”. Also, most sex-ed is conducted in the barnyard where the little ones can observe various acts of procreation, or in the hay loft where they can see sister Sue practicing with cousin Jeb. So I guess you might say that the rural folk are less repressed.
The Walmart near me in California allows Kids to run rampant around the store and get into everything – including guns and ammo. I’m guessing that people in rural towns have a little more control over their kids – including what they see. Or are rural towns more sexually free and uninhibited?
About time Walmart caught up with something that ALL Women Want! And now we can enjoy Discout Orgasms!
Will Walmart off us “deep” discounts too?
